Hi, I’m Aidan, founder of Broken Bodies Fitness.
I didn’t choose this path—my body sort of shoved me onto it. A few back surgeries, a hernia, gut issues, a couple of broken ribs, and a Type 1 diabetes diagnosis at 37 (apparently pizza stress is real) gave me a front-row seat to what “rock bottom” can feel like. Add a divorce at 45, some spectacularly bad coping strategies, and a decade that felt like a full-time contact sport… and, well, I became the kind of guy who had to rebuild because the alternative wasn’t an option.
Why It Works for You
I’ve done the escape attempts—fast cars, solo trips, books, songs, distractions of every flavor. None of them fixed me. But they did teach me how to start again. Slower. Smarter. Gentler.
Somewhere between the injections, the setbacks, and the small wins, I found a calling: helping people like me carve out days with less pain, more energy, and more life—by doing the least amount necessary, not the most.
I’m not a superhero. I’m just someone who’s been through enough to know that broken bodies aren’t the end of the story. They’re usually the beginning.
